Artistic Drought

I haven't posted anything in a very long time, OR updated much. This summer has been a fun and exciting one with new friendships made, an AMAZING Las Vegas vacation and vacation back home with a friend, and more. But, while doing all of this I haven't had much time to get back into my game. My last finished piece was "La Sorella." I...

As of late...

I've had nothing new to show as of late. I'm busy with school and my own schedule with working, etc. I hope to do something worth while soon. Tonight I get to do a tutorial on my digital painting style for class and earn some extra credit. I get nervous when I present, but I have a good feeling about this... I printed some of my work on nice...

Comic Ideas...

I have several comic ideas in the making. Some are more complete than others. I hope to actually make 8 page previews of each and submit them. This semester in my comic book class I HAVE to do an 8 page final so I'm doing "The Bard" a character back story of the main character, Leon. I want it to look like it was done on old paper and...

New Arrival

I was a dA user for about two years a few years ago. After a while I started to realize what dA was becoming and I was sick and tired of it. I had no place to post my art except on Facebook for a year, but then decided, due to some possible copyright crap going on, I didn't want my art on Facebook. I was lucky my friend Chy found this place. It...

And it was the first thing I thought about doing when I saw the skins of this site~ I think that's one of the things I like the most about it here! give it a try, I would love to see your site with a custumized banner too~ ^^

Yeah to me it almost feels like cheating to use ctrl + z. Even if I get a mark wrong, there was some feeling to it. Emotion: tongue.gif In a way it keeps me from taking digital art seriously, so I haven't gotten far in it. I'm starting to concentrate more on it in order to design sites, but otherwise I don't think I'll develop much of a feel for it.

When I really make a piece my own by putting a lot of feel in it I love having a huge piece of paper to just scribble all over ( not so literally, of course ) to express the feeling. Digital artwork feels so cramped, even though it has more possibilities.

Thanks for sharing, it's always interesting to hear the thoughts of other artists. Emotion: smile.gif

That's pretty cool. I don't think I've heard of a person good at both sides of painting. I'm more into traditional artwork myself ( I'm pencil, working on getting into watercolor and graphite ) but digital artwork definitely has its own appeal. How do you express yourself differently through them ( ie, what feel do you get from the mediums ), since you're proficient in both?
